The 36th! Annual – 8K Run and 2 Mile Run/Walk

This is a classic road course through the streets of west Carson City. Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged! This year’s Nevada Day Theme is “Wild, Wild West”. Be creative and have fun with it!
We took a wild tangent on the theme, focusing on the wild giants that populated the area well before the term “Wild West” was coined. They were there during and after the “Wild West” too!
The Cottonwood Tree: An endemic species to our area that grew wild along waterways and persist along much of the Nevada Day Classic run/walk courses. Pretty Wild!
