After an incredible Winter, the Spring season is reminding us what the season cycle is about: Springing surprise thunderstorms, florid flower bursts and lush, verdant splashes across our high desert landscape. The snowcapped mountains continue to feed our once parched drainages, lakes and reservoirs. Being outdoorsy, fun-loving, trail seekers we eagerly await the return to the mountain trails as the valley heat kicks in. Don’t forget that the high trails are surprisingly cold and snowy (bring layers) and the creeks and rivers are frigid and swift (be realistic and safe about crossing). Enjoy this unpredictable season while it lasts!
