THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OUR 2012 REGISTRATION - We hope the following information is useful to those who plan to join us in July 2012.

• Registration fees (even though operating costs continue to climb we chose to moderately increase registration fees so not to risk lowering event quality or customer value).
  • 50K - $100
  • 50M - $125
  • 100M - $245
• Required medical information (please be prepared to provide the following information as it is a mandatory step to complete your registration):
  • Emergency contact
  • Physician
  • Medical conditions
  • Current medications
  • Allergies
• 100-mile registrants
  • All individuals registering for the 100-Mile event MUST meet the "Qualification Standards" at the time of registration for the 2012 event. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • All registrants must meet at least one of the following qualification times. Proof Qualification Standards have been met must be verifiable by official race results or results listed in Ultrarunning Magazine:
  1. 50 miles in less than 13 hours or the TRT 50-Miler in less than 15 hours
  2. 100 kilometers in less than 17 hours
  3. Completion of any OFFICIAL 100-mile trail race
  • The qualifying period is July 1, 2010 to December 30, 2011

• Shuttle bus tickets - Tickets for the shuttle buses from the host hotel in Carson City to the event start on July 21st may be purchased at time of registration for $10 per person. Confirmation of purchase will be included in your registration verification from Race360.com.
• 2012 Entrants list - Columns to the right of each registered runner will indicate by check mark if required components for registration have been completed (All distances - medical; 100-milers - volunteer hours and qualification standards).

UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA - RENO TO PROVIDE MEDICAL COVERAGE AGAIN IN 2012

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Nevada in Reno is proud to provide medical coverage for the 2012 Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs.

Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs Medical Director, Dr. Andrew Pasternak, sports fellow Dr. Ali Shahin and sports medicine faculty members Dr. David Fiore and Dr. Carol Scott specialize in diagnosing and treating injuries that occur during sports and exercise as well as in injury prevention, exercise science and health promotion. 

The sports medicine fellowship program also provides care for all University of Nevada student athletes and is involved in medical care at the Reno Rodeo, the Reno Amateur Wrestling Tournament of Champions as well as coverage at high  school and youth sporting events. 

The sports medicine fellowship is a year long program aimed at training family medicine physicians in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of medical conditions and injuries that occur in athletes and exercising individuals of all ages and of all abilities.
