2016 Tentative Dates - TBA
The Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs is pleased to offer two training runs to acquaint runners
with different section of the event course. We highly recommended our entrants, especially
newcomers to our event, join us for these runs in order to become familiar with the trail and the conditions you might encounter come race day. This is equally important for those who have run the 50-mile and 100-mile distance with us in the past in order to familiarize themselves with the Diamond Peak Ski Resort loop.
The training runs are what they imply, a training run. They are a very much stripped down affair with bare essentials at the aid stations. There will be one aid station at Tunnel Creek, visited twice on one training run and on the other training run there will be two aid stations, one at Tunnel Creek and one at Hobart. It is mandatory that each runner bring at least two water bottles or a bladder system that carries at least 70 ounces.
With the increasing attendance at these training runs we now find it necessary to limit the
maximum number of registered runners to 150 each day. Our goal is for everyone to have
fun in the Tahoe sun therefore we need to do this in order to insure that we'll have adequate
food and fluids at our aid stations, and also because we have a very limited number of volunteers to take care of 400 runners. Those wishing to join us will need to sign up. Registration will be on Ultra Signup.com and there will be a nominal $20 cost per day, per person which covers both aid station food/beverages and end of the run refreshments, including our traditional spread of burgers (meat and black bean), sausages, fruit, sodas and BEER.
Not registered to run this year but you'd like to join us on our training runs? If the runs are
not sold out with the 200 limit, you're welcome to join us, sign up at Ultra Signup.com.
