DESCRIPTION

We use the airport maintenance road for hill work in the summer, with an easy 1-mile jog out along the Golden Bear trails as a warm up. The paved road is a good place to run ladders or other hill speed work.

Leash-free dogs OK but they'll get pretty bored during the hill repeats.

Several areas of dense tree are the only restroom facilities.

From US HWY 50 in South Lake Tahoe, turn Southeast onto Lodi; that's a LEFT if you're coming from Stateline, a RIGHT if you're coming from the "Y". (There's a discount gas station on the corner.) Drive to the end of Lodi and park on the side of the road, making sure you don't block the gate into the snow dump.

This is another access point to the Golden Bear trails.
