THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING ALLOWED AT SPOONER SUMMIT, WITHIN THE SPOONER LAKE STATE PARK OR AT THE DIAMOND PEAK SKI RESORT.
50K and 50M packet pick-up is available at the Carson City legislative grounds on Friday, July
18th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in order to avoid
the rush on race morning. 50K and 50M packet pick-up will also be available at Spooner Lake
Nevada State Park on race day between 4:00 a.m. and 5:45 a.m.
Pacers are allowed beginning at the Diamond Peak aid station for the 50-Mile event. This is the
first (and only) aid station accessible by car. It's roughly at the "half-way" point (mile 30) of the 50-Miler.
50-Mile pacers abide by the same rules as the 100-Mile safety runners. Safety runners must check in with our registration staff prior to the event and will be required to sign a waiver, complete a Medical Form and will be issued a pacer bib number. This will help us make
sure they are readily identifiable by our aid station staffs, make sure we have enough food and beverage on the course for everyone, account for their safety in the same manner as our registered runners. Pacers should carry their own gels and food times as possible to insure there is plenty of food for the paid racers. For information regarding pacer please see 100-MILE INFO.
